The ‘Aracnocóptero’, technology at the service of the field

The new remotely manned aerial system, developed by the Salamanca company Arbórea Intellbird, applicable to agricultural and livestock improvement.
Technology at the service of the countryside. This is precisely what the new arachnocopter offers, a remotely piloted aerial system, developed and designed by the Salamanca company Arbórea Interllbird, made with aerospace materials such as carbon fibre or titanium. A cutting-edge tool applicable to agricultural and livestock improvement.
One of the most curious innovations and the one that has attracted the most attention from visitors to the central pavilion of Salamaq, including that of the Minister of Agriculture, Isabel García Tejerina, who did not hesitate to come and see how it works. A new, as well as complex system, which can fly in a very stable manner, even under conditions of rain or strong winds. Its applications include optimisation of irrigation and fertilisation, early detection of pests, reduction of phytosanitary treatments, prevention of drought in oak trees, detection of sick cattle on extensive farms, improvements in agricultural production, appraisal of incidents or analysis of water resources.
Caja Rural de Salamanca and Arbórea Interllbird are studying, through a specific agreement, the implementation of the services of this disruptive technology in the improvement of the countryside in our region.
A 3D frog in less than 30 minutes
At the same stand we were also able to see the latest in 3D, a printer that, in less than half an hour, with PVC thread, creates a small frog. Soon we may all have a printer in our homes capable of creating the most varied objects. For now, the technology is already here.
