First investments made within the framework of INNVIERTE program

Arbórea and Graphenea are the first co-investments to be made in technology companies related to energy and the environment, within the Innvierte program and have been led by Iberdrola and Repsol respectively.

Arbórea is a company focused on the manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles for various professional uses, including the inspection of electricity production and distribution infrastructures.

Through the Innvierte programme, the CDTI promotes business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. In this way, the aim is to encourage the entry of private capital into Spanish technological SMEs, under market conditions, with the aim of not only supporting their technological activities, but also providing them with management and internationalisation capacity and market knowledge. Therefore, within the Innvierte programme, public-private collaboration vehicles for venture capital investment have been promoted, first in information and communications technologies, then in the field of industrial technologies and later in the technological area of energy and the environment, where these first investments are framed. In this sense, in the implementation strategy of the Innvierte programme, work is currently being done on promoting public-private investment vehicles in the biomedical technologies sector.
